Your adventure start to finish
Arrival and check-in
Check in at the Face Adrenalin base, complete your indemnity forms, and get weighed and harnessed up by the crew. Your guide will walk you through the full safety briefing before you head onto the bridge.
The Bridge
Before you walk, your guide covers the history and engineering of the Bloukrans Bridge. One of the most remarkable structures in Africa, and the stage for everything that happens here.
THE SKYWALK
You walk the suspended catwalk beneath the arch of the bridge. 216 metres above the Bloukrans River, with panoramic views across the gorge and the Tsitsikamma forest in every direction.
The Hangout
For those who want to go further, the Hangout Zone takes you to the edge of the bridge where you lean out over the gorge, harnessed and secured. Available as an upgrade on your SkyWalk booking.
BUNGY WATCHING
From the arch you get an up-close view of the bungy jumpers taking the leap. The best seat in the house.

“Great experience even without bungy jumping. We had as much time on the bridge as we wanted. Safety was a top priority, every time we buckled and unbuckled we were checked by two different people.”

Frequently asked questions
Is there an age or weight limit?
The SkyWalk is open from age 8 and takes walkers up to 150kg. There is no upper age limit and no fitness requirement. If you can manage a steady walk on a level catwalk, you can do this. Anyone under 18 needs consent from a parent or guardian on the day. This is the most open of our experiences, which is why groups use it to keep everyone together when the bungy, at 14 and over, would leave someone behind.
Do I need to be harnessed for the SkyWalk?
Yes, and you stay that way. The crew fits you into a full body harness at check-in and you are clipped in before you step onto the catwalk, staying attached the whole way out and back. You are never free to unclip yourself and there is no point in the walk where you are not secured. It is worth saying plainly, because most people arrive expecting the height to feel exposed and are surprised how solid it is once they are on it.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in and closed shoes you can walk in. Footwear matters more here than on the other experiences, since the SkyWalk is a walk out and back along a suspended catwalk. You will be in a full body harness the whole time, so skip skirts and dresses. The bridge is always colder and windier than the car park, so bring a jacket or a layer even on a hot day.
What are the weather conditions?
Rain or shine, the bridge stays open. We run year round from 9am to 5pm and walk in almost any weather. The only conditions that stop us are electrical storms and gale force winds. If we have to close on the day of your booking, you can reschedule, take a voucher or get a full refund. Expect it to be cooler and windier out on the bridge than it is at ground level, so dress for that.
Can I bring spectators?
It works the other way round here. The SkyWalk is what people book to watch, and from the arch you get the closest view there is of the bungy jumpers going over the edge. If someone in your group is jumping, this is how the rest of you see it properly rather than from the ground. Anyone not walking can wait at the restaurant deck at the base, which looks straight out at the bridge.
What should I bring?
Your ID or passport, especially if you are under 18. Sunscreen, because there is no shade on the bridge. A jacket for the wind. A camera, and unlike the bungy there is real time to use it here, though your guide will tell you on the day where it needs to stay secured. The crew also photographs the walk, and those photos are bought separately at the shop afterwards.
