Frequently asked questions
Where exactly is the Bloukrans Bridge?
On the N2 between Plettenberg Bay and Storms River in the Tsitsikamma, Garden Route. The turnoff is signposted as Tsitsikamma Forest Village. You'll drive over the bridge before you reach the turnoff, the entrance is on the left coming from Cape Town, on the right from Port Elizabeth.
Is there parking on site?
Yes. Turn in at the Tsitsikamma Forest Village entrance off the N2 and follow the parking signs. The parking area is a short walk from the Face Adrenalin base, which is where you check in. Nothing to book or arrange in advance, just pull in and follow the signage.
What are your operating hours?
We are open 9am to 5pm, seven days a week, all year round, public holidays included. Plan your drive around your slot rather than the other way round: check-in is an hour before your booked time, so an early slot means an early start from Plettenberg Bay or Storms River.
How far in advance should I book?
At least 48 hours ahead to get the slot you want. Over school holidays, long weekends and December, book further out than that, because the morning slots go first. You are welcome to arrive on the day and we will do our best to fit you in, but we cannot promise a slot, and it is a long drive to be turned away.
What should I bring on the day?
Your ID or passport, especially if you are under 18. Sunscreen, because there is no shade on the bridge. A jacket, since it is always colder and windier up there than in the car park. Closed shoes you can walk in. The crew films and photographs your activity, so a camera is for everything before and after rather than the main event.
