Your adventure start to finish
Arrival and check-in
Check in at the Face Adrenalin base, complete your indemnity forms, and get weighed and harnessed up by the crew. Your guide will walk you through the full safety briefing before you head onto the bridge.
The Zipline
Strap in and launch across 200 metres of open gorge on the zipline, landing at the arch of the Bloukrans Bridge. Wind in your face, the valley wide open beneath you.
The Hangout
At the arch, step into the Hangout Zone, harnessed and secured, and lean out over the gorge 216 metres up. A front row seat to watch the bungy jumpers take the leap directly below you.
The SkyWalk back
Walk back to solid ground across the suspended SkyWalk beneath the bridge, taking in the views one last time before your feet touch down.
Photos and Memories
Your crossing is captured by the crew. Head to the Face Adrenalin shop afterwards to purchase your photos and pick up some merch to prove you did it.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the zipline package take?
Arrive an hour before your booked slot. That hour covers check-in, your indemnity forms, the weigh-in and the safety briefing. From there allow about an hour on the bridge for the zipline crossing, time at the Hangout Zone and the SkyWalk back to solid ground. Add time afterwards for photos and the shop. If you are adding the bungy as part of the full package, plan for a half day.
Do I need any experience?
None at all. No certification, no training, no head for heights required beforehand. The crew fits your harness, clips you in, runs the safety checks and launches you, so there is nothing to learn and nothing to get wrong. You sit into the harness rather than jumping off anything, which makes the zipline the most approachable of the three experiences at Bloukrans and the one most people start with.
Is there an age or weight limit?
The zipline is open from age 8 and takes riders up to 150kg. Younger and lighter children ride tandem with a parent or guardian, so families can cross together. Anyone under 18 needs consent from a parent or guardian on the day. The crew weighs everyone at check-in and confirms the right setup before you go, so there is nothing to work out in advance. The zipline has no lower age limit as strict as the bungy, which needs you to be 14 or older.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in and closed shoes you can walk in. You will be in a full body harness the whole time, so skip skirts and dresses. The bridge is always colder and windier than the car park, so bring a jacket or a layer even on a hot day. Empty your pockets and leave loose items, hats and sunglasses with your group before you head out onto the bridge.
What are the weather conditions?
Rain or shine, the bridge stays open. We run year round from 9am to 5pm and operate in almost any weather. The only conditions that stop us are electrical storms and gale force winds. If we have to close on the day of your booking, you can reschedule, take a voucher or get a full refund. Expect it to be cooler and windier out on the bridge than it is at ground level, so dress for that.
Can I bring spectators?
Bring them, and consider putting them on the zipline with you. Because it starts at age 8 and runs tandem for younger children, the zipline is the one experience most of a group can actually do together rather than watch. Anyone sitting it out can watch from the restaurant deck at the base, which looks straight out at the bridge, and they will get a clear view of the crossing and the bungy jumpers below the arch.
What should I bring?
Your ID or passport, especially if you are under 18. Sunscreen, because there is no shade on the bridge. A jacket for the wind. A camera for everything before and after, though it stays behind for the crossing itself. The crew captures your zipline on the day, so you do not need to worry about photographing it yourself. Photos are bought separately at the shop afterwards and we keep footage on file for one month.
