Three experiences run off the same bridge at Bloukrans, and they are not simply three intensities of the same thing. They ask different things of you and they suit different people.
Here is an honest comparison so you can book the right one.
The quick answer
- You want the thing you will talk about for years. The Bungy.
- You want the height and the view without stepping off. The SkyWalk.
- You want a thrill that is exciting rather than terrifying. The Zipline.
- You have come this far and want the whole bridge. All three.
The Bungy
216 metres, roughly four seconds of freefall, and the reason the bridge is famous.
This is the highest bungy jump in Africa and the highest in the Southern Hemisphere. It is also, for most people, the single most intense thing they have ever chosen to do. There is no easing into it and no partial version. You either step off or you do not.
Choose it if you want to find out what you do when every instinct says no. Skip it if a medical condition rules it out, or if you know with certainty that you do not want it. Doing it under pressure from a friend is the wrong reason.

The SkyWalk
A guided walk along a catwalk suspended beneath the arch of the bridge, out to the jump platform at the centre of the span.
People underestimate this one badly. You are secured throughout, but you are walking a metal walkway with 216 metres of open air below and the gorge on both sides. It delivers most of the height exposure of the bungy without the drop, and it is where the nerves peak for the majority of visitors.
It is also the best vantage point on the site. You watch jumps from a few metres away, and you see the structure of the bridge from underneath.
Choose it if you want the height without the jump, if you are with someone who is jumping and do not want to wait behind, or if you want to make the final call once you are out there. Skip it if you are only interested in the freefall, though note that you will walk it anyway on your way to the platform.

The Zipline
200 metres across the gorge, suspended from a cable strung beneath the bridge.
This is the most accessible of the three and the one people enjoy most in the moment rather than afterwards. There is no leap of faith involved. You are clipped on, you lift your feet, and you travel across open space with the arch of the bridge above you and the river far below.
It reads as pure fun rather than a test of nerve, which is exactly why it works so well as the last thing you do.
Choose it if you want a real thrill without confronting anything. Skip it if you are extremely short on time, though it is quick.

How they compare
- Fear factor: Bungy first by a distance, SkyWalk second, Zipline third.
- Height exposure: Bungy and SkyWalk are nearly identical. The Zipline is high but you are moving and supported.
- Physical demand: All three are low. You need to be able to walk the catwalk. None of them require fitness.
- Best views: The SkyWalk, comfortably. You are stationary and you have time to look.
- Commitment required: Bungy is all or nothing. The other two you can enjoy without a decisive moment.
All three share the same requirements: minimum age 14, minimum weight 35kg, maximum weight 150kg.
If you only do one
Do the bungy. It is the reason the bridge exists as a destination, and it is the one that will not leave you.
But be realistic about the arithmetic. You are driving to a specific point on the N2 in the Tsitsikamma, probably once. The three are designed as a sequence, the SkyWalk is how you reach the platform, and the Zipline is how you come back. The Full Adventure Package puts them together in one visit for exactly that reason.
